Day 2 Day - Denim trip to Istanbul

by George Heaton | March 14, 2016

As we begin the new blog updates, you'll now find the whole Represent team posting daily here, keeping you as the reader updated with everything Represent, from factory visits to design development. I'm starting the new update with a recap of our visit to Istanbul over the past week.

The city is a massive eye opener to what goes on behind the scenes at fashion factories. We produce our denim line in the European side of Istanbul at a Japanese selvedge denim specialist. Our denim, footwear and accessories are all kept made in the EU, whilst we are able to keep out topwear & outerwear hand-made right here in the UK.

Being the factories largest client to the factory they now focus fully on Represent only, which is blessing for us to find such a close knit, smaller scale business working day to day with us to elevate our denim lines. During our visit we created our SS17 selections & wash styles and developed a new fit for what we will be revealing later this year as our Selvedge line. I really believe working face-to-face with the factories creates a real relationship with a solid working process.
